Cynthia Owens is a highly acclaimed communications consultant and trainer. She is founder and managing director of AsianEdge Network, dedicated to making communications work for business.
Cynthia is one of Asia’s most experienced journalists and media executives. She spent 20 years working for some of the world’s top news organizations including The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, iVillage.com, and CNBC Asia.
She has been in Asia for more than 16 years based in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.
Cynthia has a strong background in business, with experience in start-ups or new business units in four countries. She launched the first co-produced TV news programming in China, with Shanghai Media Group and in association with Harvard Business School professors.
At AsianEdge, she is a sought-after speaker and panelist for conferences and events. She trains, writes or consults for leading multinationals and global brands, the Institute of Public Relations in Singapore, INSEAD, and is an Associate Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore.
